BAD MOON BOOKS FEBRUARY BLOG

51Wow, where did January go? It seemed to just zip right on by…. Now I sit here trying to write the February blog and all I can think about is how I hope that the Colts pound the Saints in this years SUPER BOWL!  I know Horror Mall founder Shane Staley shares this sentiment. GO COLTS!

If you have not heard, Bad Moon is ROCKING the LONG FICTION category in the STOKER preliminary balloting. We have 5 out of the 10 nominations. We also have Michael Louis Calvillos’ AS FATE WOULD HAVE IT in the BEST NOVEL category!

Lots of cool things going on at BAD MOON BOOKS and HORROR MALL. We have a new title, CRIMSON by Gord Rollo which has just recently arrived and all orders have been shipped. If you have not snagged a copy of this beautiful 100 copy limited edition, you had better get cracking. Full color Zach McCain DJ and lots of creepy internal COLOR illustrations too. In addition, we have MONSTER TOWN and THE BUTCHER OF BOX HILL from Logan Savile (Brian M. Logan and Steve Savile) at the printer and due to ship out 2-26. We have also just announced our, shall we say, ANTI-VALENTINE’S DAY book called “51 FIENDISH WAYS TO LEAVE YOUR LOVER” by Lisa Mannetti, and chock full of AMAZING art from the talented Mr. Glenn Chadbourne. Did I say chock full? Yes, it has 51 internal B&W illustrations to go with each nasty way to leave your lover….

We also will be finishing up the LETTERED editions of AS FATE WOULD HAVE IT BY MICHAEL LOUIS CALVILLO by the end of March. If you want your name in a special cannibal cookbook, you better order one SOON! Also, THIS GHOSTING TIDE LETTERED edition will also go to print by mid-Feb.

As you may have heard, Paul at FULL MOON PRESS has had to call it quits due to a terminal illness among other things. We at Bad Moon would like to extend our sympathies and prayers to both Paul, Callie, and their entire family. FMP’s demise sent a bunch of authors scrambling to find homes for their works. We have picked up David Niall Wilson’s MAELSTROM, and possibly a couple others. We are also proud to announce that sometime near Summer, we’ll be doing the HC limited edition of John Everson’s SIREN. We also have an AMAZING anthology by Michael Louis Calvillo titled BLOOD & GRISTLE that will be out in tim for WHC 2010 in Brighton. This 250+ page collection features B&W illustrations by the INCREDIBLE Dani Serra, ONE FOR EACH STORY (over 20). We also are nearing print on David Niall Wilson’s  novel titled VINTAGE SOUL. And, just to drop a few more names for 2010; Nate Kenyon, James Roy Daley, Bruce Boston, Greg Gifune, Ben Ethridge, Gene O’Neill, and MORE!

As always, we would like to thank you, the reader/collector for buying our books and helping us keep doing what we love.

If you ain’t ON THE MOON, now’s the time to GET THERE!
