March Blog

Hello loyal customers and soon to be customers.

Well, March is nearly over and I am just now getting around to writing this blog. It has been a busy month and the next few look to be even more hectic. I would like to start off by congratulating all of the 2009 Bram Stoker Award winners which were announced last night in Brighton England. Bad Moon Books had 3 of the 4 books up for long fiction story of the year, Lisa Morton’s “The Lucid Dreaming”; Gene O’Neill’s “Doc Good’s Traveling Show”; and Scott Edelman’s “The Hunger of Empty Vessels”. Lisa was the winner and we are so proud of all of our BMB authors! Man, I wish I could have been in Brighton as I am hearing nothing but RAVE reviews for this year’s WHC!

March saw the release of Logan Savile’s (Steven Savile and Brian M. Logan’s) “Monster Town/The Butcher of Box Hill” flip book, the re-issue of Bram Stoker Award winning “Miranda ” by John R. Little, Lisa Mannetti’s “51 Fiendish Ways to Leave Your Lover” (actually late Feb.), and Michael L. Calvillo’s “Blood & Gristle”. A banner month to be sure. If you have not already, you might want to grab one of each and place them firmly atop your TBR pile!

April will be a bit slower but we will be releasing  an AMAZING novella by Erik Williams called “Blood Spring”. One of my proof readers LOVED this book and likened it to Richard Laymon’s “The Wilds”. We will also be well on our way to releasing the amazing novel by David Niall Wilson titled “Vintage Soul”. If you have not ordered that one, now would be a good time as you will be entered into a drawing to win a ONE-OF-A-KIND leather bound edition of the book! We will also receive the lettered editions of Michael L. Calvillo’s “As Fate Would Have It” in April.

KILLERCON II is in Vegas again this year and we will be attending. It will be August 26-29th at the Palace Station Hotel. Off the strip, but close enough so you can get into all kinds of trouble.

If you have never checked out our store at Horror Mall, now would be a good time to get over there. Each day Liz adds tons of new books, some rare, one of a kind, some new, some old. Check it out.  https://www.horror-mall.com/badmoonbks/

Well, that’s it for now. As always thanks for continuing to buy our books, and helping us continue to do what we love. We have been selling books via catalog, bookstore and online now for over 28 years!

God bless, Roy
