Online message boards.

You’ve seen them around the Internet. Perhaps you’ve been a member of several. You’ve cursed the spammers and trolls, witnessed the flounces and the flame wars waged by faceless usernames with nothing better to do.

There are millions of different message boards throughout the World Wide Web, all of them catering to different hobbies and cultures and fetishes. They are communities for people with common interests, a gathering of like minds and kindred souls . . . .

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, there are currently over 500 active serial killers within the United States.

Somewhere out there, isn’t it possible that an online message board exists for those who live outside society’s rules? For those who kill for the thrill of it, and yearn for the taste of blood?

A place to swap stories . . . to boast of their exploits and discuss tricks of “the trade.” A safe haven where mementos can be displayed . . . where members can learn how to hone their dark craft, and maybe make a few new friends in the process . . . .

This is THE FORUM.

This is book five in the publishers Signature Series.

At eleven years of age, strange things started to happen to a boy named Timmy Quinn. His ordinary life was abruptly thrown into chaos by the revelation that there exists a separate plane of existence reserved solely for the vengeful spirits of the murdered: The Curtain. Worse, Timmy is a conduit for these monstrous entities, allowing them to walk freely between worlds to exact their brutal vengeance.

His search for answers has taken him halfway around the world, forcing him to endure many horrors, among them the revelation that the spiritual realm known as The Stage may have been manmade, and that the dead do not operate of their own free will, but are instead influenced by an enigmatic figure known only as “Peregrine.”

About this man, Timmy knows nothing. But he will learn, and in time, he will come to know Peregrine as an adversary worse than the vengeful dead.

Herein lies the genesis of a monster.

This is book six of the publisher’s Signature Series.

“I dream I am flying over forests, then seas, then cities. Then I am swooping down firing my guns at people. They run through the streets like frightened sheep, but I roar at them, kill them with my guns. When I have no more bullets my wings become scythes that cut them down .”

The dying days of WW2: Nazi secret weapons draw lines of fire in Germany’s skies. In the depths of a forest the pilot of a ME163 rocket-plane battles not only the formations of allied bombers but a creeping menace that invades both his body and his mind.

This is book four of the publishers Signature Series.

From out of a shadowy backwoods hollow, echoes a dark threat from the past, nearly a century lost and forgotten.

The rural town of Harmony, Tennessee possessed a disturbing secret; a secret so ancient that most of its residents were completely unaware of it. Even the last survivors of a vigilante raid long ago have filed the tragic events of that autumn night away, totally unaware of the evil that remains, dormant, but forever patient, among the tall pines and thick-leaved kudzu of a place known only as Hell Hollow.

There it would have remained, unrevealed, if not for a handful of unknowing participants. Four kids, bored for excitement during one of the hottest summers on record. A killer on the run, dodging his latest atrocity. And a rape victim on a deadly mission – scarred in both body and mind. All have a hand in bringing forth an unspeakable evil from the dark woods of Hell Hollow.

He is a skeletal figure in top hat and tails, brandishing a handful of magical cards and a patented elixir that was brewed in the very depths of Purgatory.

From multi award-winning and New York Times bestselling writer Tim Lebbon comes this huge collection of the very best of his short fiction.

His first short fiction collection As the Sun Goes Down, attracted rave reviews. Now, Last Exit for the Lost collects the best of Lebbon’s output from 2000 to the present day. Weighing in at over 560 pages and containing 150,000 words of fiction, it also features two brand new, never-before-published stories: the novelette The Evolutionary, and the novella Nothing Heavenly.

• In Kissing at Shadows, a man makes a yearly journey through an apocalyptic landscape to visit the memory of his wife…
• In The Stuff of the Stars, Leaking, a dead sea creature washed up on a remote beach proves to be more mysterious than it first appears…
• A man loses his son… and he will do anything to get him back In Perpetuity…
• In The Horror of the Many Faces, Watson witnesses his friend Sherlock Holmes committing horrendous crimes that the great man himself would have trouble solving…
• A boy meets a mysterious stranger who can heal dead animals in The Evolutionary… but is there some fearful design to their meeting…?
• And captured by angels or demons, a prisoner can find Nothing Heavenly in either…

Lebbon has been described as “…the most exciting voice in the horror genre since Poppy Z Brite and Bentley Little”, “…the most exciting new name in horror for years”, and “…one of the very few genuinely talented British writers of thought-provoking horror and dark fantasy”.

If you’re brave enough to step through this Last Exit, you’ll see why…

I have been a long time seller of books on other sites, but have chosen Horror Mall as my forum for these items. Please be confident that I am quick to ship and a very reliable seller. I can provide my other sites for references with thousands of positive feedback.

These items measure 10.75 x 14.5 for the one with two pictures in the frame. The Gunslinger picture measures 13.5 x 9.25

These are very rare, and hard to find items, and I have had them in my possession for some time. I am letting them go reluctantly, but I am sure that someone else will enjoy them just as much as I have and it is time for them to move on. These are an absolute “Must Have” for the Stephen King or Dark Tower Fan.

Ramsey Campbell’s daring look into the mind of a psychotic killer was published in truncated form in 1979; an expanded edition was later published in 1982. The paranoid outlook of the book’s main character, Horridge, is a grim commentary on a bleak Liverpool suburb and Thatcher-era England.

This edition has the corrected text by Campbell and the compelling photographs of J.K. Potter, with a new introduction by Poppy Z. Brite, a bonus short story, and a new afterword by Campbell. The Potter photographs are printed so fine that Potter himself called us when the book was published, stating that their austere, full-page, full-bleed presentation was the finest presentation and reproduction of these works that he had ever seen.

The hardcover edition is limited to just 300 copies and is signed by Campbell, Potter, and Brite. Bound in cloth with a handsome dustjacket.

Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is the world’s most notorious and widely read Gothic novel. It has also been heralded as both the first modern horror novel and the first science fiction novel. More important than either is the novel’s mythical status in society. The rich subtext of Frankenstein and the vast number of readings it can inspire have contributed to the novel’s continued success after nearly two hundred years.

This edition of Frankenstein uses Mary Shelley’s definitive 1831 text and incorporates several critical essays on Frankenstein, discussing its rich symbolism and place in world literature. There is also a valuable bibliography, Mary Shelley’s original introduction to the 1831 edition, Percy Shelley’s original preface, and more. This is the definitive edition of Frankenstein, perfect for the trade and indispensable for scholarly use. This is first in the affordably priced Millipede Press Gothic Novels series.

YES, we WILL have the extra baseball card with our copies!

Blockade Billy by Stephen King, an original, never-before-published novella that only the King of Horror could have dreamed up! Even die-hard baseball fans don’t know the true story of William Blakely, but in just a few weeks you’ll be holding this dark tale in your own two hands so you can read it for yourself.

That’s right! This exclusive trade hardcover edition is already rolling at the printer and will be arriving at our warehouse in mid-April. This beautiful hardcover edition also features stunning cover artwork by Glen Orbik and eight gorgeous pieces of interior artwork by Alex McVey.

About the Book: Even the most die-hard baseball fans don’t know the true story of William “Blockade Billy” Blakely. He may have been the greatest player the game has ever seen, but today no one remembers his name. He was the first — and only — player to have his existence completely removed from the record books. Even his team is long forgotten, barely a footnote in the game’s history.

Every effort was made to erase any evidence that William Blakely played professional baseball, and with good reason. Blockade Billy had a secret darker than any pill or injection that might cause a scandal in sports today. His secret was much, much worse… and only Stephen King, the most gifted storyteller of our age, can reveal the truth to the world, once and for all.

This original, never-before-published novella represents Stephen King at his very best, and this hardcover edition brings it into print for the very first time.

Here’s what our customers had to say over the past few weeks…

THE FIRST HEADER by Edward Lee

This is a fun little read. At only 6 pages you can fly through it any time you want. This tale is the first told “header”. What’s a header, you may ask? Well…that’s something that only Edward Lee can tell the best. The story dates back to the Civil War days. It tells that the horrible actions of the Yankees to the Southerners do not go unpunished. Two men go out to do their own form of justice for what the North had done to their families. And there a “header” is born. And so is a tradition….if you’ve been wronged unjustifiably then there’s only one way to even up the score. The First Header is fun to read and at only $6 you should all grab one, or hell even 3. And be sure to watch out for Lee’s full length novel, Header 2 from Camelot Books, coming soon. AND be sure to pick up the film adaptation to Header too, out on DVD now.

This is among some of the most fun I’ve had reading digital. Even though there are only 2 stories in this chappie it’s hard to say which one stands out. They both truly are, dare I use the word, ‘delightful.’ Imagine if Douglas Adams had written “Needful Things” instead of Stephen King. This, I think, is what you’d get. Highly recommended.

This is a wonderful little collection and would be a bargain at twice the price. In, “North of Bigfoot, Bound for Memphis” we see him adding a Bradbury-esque quality to the plot. In less capable hands this could be a mess but Vernon does very nicely. In, “Jumping Chollo Will Not Die” he really focuses on the weird. Think about a little movie from the ’50′s starring Steve McQueen as a teenager and you’ll get the picture. Finally, in, “Two Good Hands and a Hold-out,” he has combined 2 of my favorite genres, horror and westerns, to great effect. This is a great little collection. Highly recommended.

My first exposure to O’Neill and I’m definitely a fan now. The writing has a haunting, lyrical quality to it, and the stories are moving and beautiful, even when they are dark and sad. My only complaint was that there wasn’t a lot of variety, but this is a themed collection so that is what one would expect. I’ll definitely be seeking out more by O’Neill.

Ed Lee’s novelette from Sideshow Press, The Cyesolagniac, is a clever, well-written tale about a successful businessman whose primary sexual obsession revolves around pregnant women. It’s told with unusual restraint by Lee, and is captivating thruout and up to its witty twist ending! I have the Lettered edition of this book, and the production values are great as usual from Tom Moran’s press. Highly recommended!

Matt Venne’s Cruel Summer is a nifty novella, a gruesome murder-mystery filled with fiction, nonfiction, nostalgia and melancholy. It’s a quick read, but Venne packs a lot of information and feeling into this short coming-of-age tale centered around a 12 year-old boy, his friends, his family and a brutal killer. Highly recommended!

This is another great production in the long history of Donald M Grant Publishers. It contains the revised version of the Gunsligner as well as a novella, “The Little Sisters of Eluria” which is related to the Dark Tower mythos. A gorgeous leather binding (with snake skin feel), and a matching slipcase. This edition has all new artwork by acclaimed artist Michael Whelan, and whats more, its signed and numbered by him. This book should be on the shelf of all Dark Tower and King collectors, or just plain old lovers of beautiful books!

Got to read an advance of this one. It’s a nice exploration of paranoia and how quickly people can turn on each other when their secrets are exposed. Managed to throw in some twists and turns that were unexpected. I felt the pace was a little slow at the end then a little too fast in the middle, but overall a satisfying read.

I see that there are no reviews for this digital edition, presumably because everyone else was a lot smarter than me and got an actual book before they sold out. Anyway, as the description says, there are 32 stories in this collection. One for each successive day of The Rising. Settings are from all over the worls, but the bulk of them are set in the US. A perfect “fleshing out” of The Rising universe. Very highly recommended.

Brian Knight’s little novelette from Sideshow Press, entitled, The Avian, is kind of a lackluster tale from this author. A young teen who feels alone, not a part of this world, grows stumps on his shoulders that slowly morph into wings. OK… But nothing is really explained during this short tale, which at times felt a little too ambiguous to me, a little too vague. Not bad, but Knight’s done better. Recommended.
